XTERRA off-road triathlon and trail runs

We are back? as of Tuesday 19th Feb we have our website back operational. We have had to relocate onto www.xterra.uk.com  due to the lengthy process to release the xterra.co.uk from the previous owners. The old domain will work again in a few weeks but be directed to the new site location.

As we have only gained access to the site again today since November only the home page has been updated. Please only use the other pages to get a feel for the event and not accurate info. The site will be updated by the end of the week.

On 31st January Xterra signed a 2 year contract to run XTERRA UK on the site of last years event in Resolven South Wales. Thanks are extended to our two main sponsors Visit Wales and Neath Port Talbot CBC. The events will cover all of last years course with a slightly lengthend swim and bike sections taking winning times up to 2hrs 30min.

Venue

Both the triathlon and MTB etrail run are being held within the outstanding Afan Forest Park in South Wales. The 11,000 hectares of forest contains 4 world class trails: ‘Penhydd’, ‘The Wall’, ‘Skyline’ and ‘White’s Level’ boasting over 100km of singletrack heaven. This park was the only UK trail destination to feature in the ‘What Mountain Bike Magazine’ as one of the ten best places to ride “before you die”. You can see some video footage of the trails here*.

The area receives over 100,000 visitors a year and is the perfect location to both challenge and accommodate entrants. It is just 10 miles from junction 40 of the M4. Directions to the area are here.

*Xtrerra take no responsibility for any third party video held on a video sharing site.
